    Just about six more weeks before we wave goodbye to this lovely year. This month is all about gratitude and the next is for reflection (especially that final week). I'm thinking about my ceremony of thanks. Each day is better than the last.
    This summer is turning out to be sweetly magical. I've enjoyed my share of fresh corn, chanterelles, peaches and strawberries, but I have one more goal before summer's end. I am absolutely determined to get an excellent shot of a dragonfly or ebony wing damselfly.
    What a whirlwind life has been these past few months. I'd like to hit pause for a bit on this wondrous ride called Life, but I really can't complain. While I haven't been able to spend as much time in the woods as I would have liked this Spring, I'm hoping to make up for it this Summer.
    After a month of intense work and Spring cleaning, I feel like a coiled spring. Easter weekend was the first weekend I had off for some time, and I made the most of it. Took Friday off and walked as many new parks and state forests as I could until I was wiped out.
